Fast fashion has dominated the industry for years, leading to enormous greenhouse gas emissions and devastating environmental impact.
Together we can make a change by supporting and promoting transparency, as well as social and environmental health.
HERE IS HOW WE DO IT:
- NATURAL & RECYCLED RAW MATERIALS
- MADE TO LAST
- HELPING THE LESS FORTUNATE
- COMMITTED TO FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE
- CULTURE OF CRAFTSMANSHIP
1- NATURAL & RECYCLED RAW MATERIALS
Our sandals are made with locally-sourced, natural, and recycled materials. Among others, we use recycled rubber, recycled tires, jute, cork, and local leather. The leather is sourced from tanneries that recycle and purify wastewater. It comes from ethically raised livestock and meets the strict EU standards.
2- MADE TO LAST
Our shoes are entirely made by hand. Not only is it a more environmentally sound method, but this careful process ensures a longer lifespan, a smoother look, and a higher quality feel. They last for several years; therefore our customers generate less waste over time.
3- HELPING THE LESS FORTUNATE
All our shoes are made in collaboration with S'AUBA's occupational therapy service. Together we help provide mentally and physically handicapped people and their families with personal autonomy and stable employment, read more.
4- COMMITTED TO FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE
We also partner with One Tree Planted to fight climate change and deforestation. We plant one tree for each customer that features our sandals on social media. Trees help cool the planet by reducing the amount of harmful greenhouse gases and releasing oxygen back into the atmosphere. Read more about our efforts here.
5- CULTURE OF CRAFTSMANSHIP
Our team of artisans slowly crafts each pair paying the utmost attention to every detail. Our team of artisans employ techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation. They have dedicated their lives to honing their craft.
By buying from us you are respecting their talent, and helping us keep the culture of craftsmanship alive.
